My greatest interest in life is understanding the mechanics and behaviour of everything I see around me – from the lack of communication in the construction trade right through to knowing why queues in banks happen. Knowledge is key to understanding and understanding allows us to find ways to improve systems and equipment. Put simply, I thrive on ideas that overcome problems. For the last 7 years I have worked in the rail infrastructure sector on projects from switches & crossings renewals for Network Rail to in-house business improvement. My skills and experience can help you improve how you do business or how you deliver a railway project. Network Rail is looking for huge savings from its contractors whilst also asking for increases in quality and output. My involvement in Network Rail’s modular S&C programme has given me a unique insight into what Britain’s major railway client is expecting from their contractors in the future.
